LAKE GARDA HOLIDAY

8 Days/5 Nights Itinerary

DAY 1: We depart from your local area approx. 04:30am by executive coach, fitted with reclining seats, TV, video, toilet and make our way to Dover making an adequate stop en-route. Arriving at Dover approx. at 12:00hrs. for our 13:15hrs. to Calais. During the 75 minute crossing you will have the opportunity to have a meal and browse around the Duty Paid Shops. After disembarking from the ship we settle down in our seats and drive to Metz (France) where you will spend the night on B&B.

DAY 2 : On the second This morning after Breakfast the coach heads to Lake Garda, passing through Switzerland and some stunning Alpine scenery. You will then spend 5 nights at the Hotel La Limonaia which is situated just a short stroll from the centre of the lovely resort of Limone.

DAY 3 to 6: Days at leisure in the resort where you can go for a drink in one of the many bar’s on the Lake or why not do a bit of window shopping whilst taking in the wonderful sights of your Lake Garda resort. Optional Excursions (Subject to Numbers) will be offered in Lake Garda such as a Trip to Dolomites £35, Lake Garda Tour £37, Verona £32 or Venice £49. Returning back to your hotel in plenty of time to prepare yourselves for your evening meal.

DAY 7: Today after breakfast we depart from our Hotel approx. 9:30am and retrace our outward journey back to our over-night Hotel in Metz. Just in time for a evening meal (Meal is Optional)

DAY 8: Today ones again after breakfast we depart from our Hotel Moderne (Metz) approx. 9:30am and retrace our outward journey back to Calais for our early Sunday morning ferry to Dover, arriving back in the North West approx. mid afternoon on Sunday.

9 Days/6 Nights Itinerary

DAY 1: Local departure by coach, then travel onwards to Belgium or northern France for an overnight stay.

DAY 2: Continue south to Lake Garda for a 6-night half board stay at the Hotel Bristol in Riva del Garda.

DAY 3: Winetasting (optional); Lake Cruise (optional). After a leisurely morning, join our optional afternoon excursion to sample the local wines in one of the local cantinas. Enjoy a glass of the local wine together with home-made bread, mountain cheese, local ‘speck’ ham and biscuits. Also, today you can enjoy an optional cruise on Lake Garda.

DAY 4: Venice (included). A wonderful excursion to Venice, the largest city in the Veneto area. Enjoy the famous sights, including the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and the Doges’ Palace. Whilst in Venice, enjoy an optional Lagoon Cruise. For a different view over St. Mark’s Square, we sail past the Giudecca Island and Lido seaside resort, made famous by the International Film Festival.

DAY 5: Lake Garda including boat trip (optional). We will stop at some of the most picturesque villages on Lake Garda, including the gem of the peninsula, Sirmione, from where we take a private boat to Gardone, on the way passing the private island of Garda, with its Venetian Villa.

DAY 6: Enjoy a leisurely day in resort.

DAY 7: Verona (included). The home of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and one of Italy’s most ancient cities. On our (optional) guided walking tour the many charms of the city will be brought to life. Admire the 1st-century Arena, home to the prestigious Verona Opera Festival, which dominates the main square. Verona boasts an abundance of fine palaces, churches and monuments, which adorn its alleyways and squares. Our informative guide will reveal many of the fascinating stories behind the history of the buildings and personalities, allowing you to appreciate to the full the charming nature of this fine old historic town.

DAY 8: To Belgium or northern France for an overnight stay.

DAY 9: To Calais then return home.

Please Note: Due to demand on the Hotel Bristol, other hotels of a similiar standard resorts such as Riva del Garda, Torbole Sul Garda and Malcesine may sometimes be used. Customers will be advised prior to departure the name and details of the hotel.
